Hmm, indeed indeed.

	tlmgr --repo XXXX

gives a warning, while

	tlmgr repository add XXXX shorthand
	tlmgr pinning add shorthand '*'
	tlmgr update --list

does not.

This is a good question, and I am not sure, maybe the above behavior is
correct.

Think about it: Using
	--repo ...
we tell tlmgr that the *main* repository, the one that should be used
for all packages, is ... And if that is so much newer than the current
tlmgr, then in should bail out.

OTOH, if we add ... as sub-repository using tlmgr repository add ...,
it is treated differently, that is, not as a "main" (= one that provides
all packages) repository, and thus the warning is not shown.


I need to think abou this - not now, it is 00:45 in the morning and I
