I (speaking with the teTeX maintainer hat) don't plan to add this support
to texlinks, but if someone else decides that TeX Live should have this
support in texlinks, he is welcome to adopt texlinks...

On the other hand, if the integration is done in a clean way so that
it does not mess up the code and texlinks still works if altpdftex does
not exist, I might add that change to teTeX...
