[tex-k] \V (= \lor = Pascal "or") accidentally redefined in mft.web

The easiest way to fix this is to (a) remove the \chardef in line 24 of
mft.web, and (b) use '\v' (lowercase; as defined in line 19) in line 86
(twice).  This deals nicely with both the string in section 1 and the
'\/' (or) operator in section 39.
