[tug-support] CTAN (fwd)

Can this be elaborated please. I for one value and use often the CDROM TeX
Live CD as my projects move from one available computer to the next - a
fact of life in an academic institution.

If they are being superceded, what is going to replace them?

I received your answer about the TEX Live cd-roms being superceded, are the
CTAN cd-roms also superceded?  These are kept in the library for patrons to
check out.
