[math-font-discuss] mathabx symbols in zoomed pdf

It is a well known problem with adobe acrobat that it does not diplay 
type-3 fonts (which is what comes out of a pk font after converting it to 
postscript) well. unfortunately it does not help to compile the pk fonts 
at a higher resolution. the output of printing is excellent, however, it 
is only rendering on screen which is not. And it can be done better, as 
xdvi shows.

but there is another interesting anomaly in the little pdf you attached: 
The infinity signs are actually different, the sharp one is in fact a 
mirrored infinity sign with the wrong stroke emphasised!
