A proposal which is unfortunately not really working, since all font
dimensions except slant get scaled, when the font is scaled. You can't
seriously abuse font dimensions to communicate a constant (like the font
encoding or the position of the skewchar).
During the history of the dc fonts there was a similar attempt to
communicate the font encoding via a font dimension, it has been abandoned
with dc release 1.3, when the new font dimensions of the ec fonts were
fixed.
