For this TUG99-web Bulletin, we are indebted to both photographers, Warren Leach and Kiren Bahm, and the writers who provided the material for these webpages: Sebastian Rahtz, for the poetry compilation; Michael Downes (Donald Arseneau Award); Frank Mittelbach, Christina Thiele, Alban and Gerhard Grimm (Apocalypse Exhibition); and especially to Ross Moore, for doing the TUG99-web Preprints, customizing the LaTeX2HTML navigation panels with new lion icons, and providing much needed technical support to help get this website working in LaTeX2HTML both pre- and post-conference.

For the meeting and conference, we wish to thank our key representative, Sarah Johnston, at the UBC Conference Center, who was in charge of accommodation arrangements (but not responsible for the false fire alarms at 4 a.m.!), to Jenny Alexander, UBC Catering Manager for all our tasty meals, and to Pat Atherton, manager of the First Nations Longhouse and her assistants, who helped us enormously with facilities and services for the conference talks.

Kudos goes to the Program Committee, Stephanie Hogue (co-chair), Anita Hoover (co-chair), and Cheryl Ponchin for a program well planned and executed; and to the Conference Committee, Sue De Meritt and Patricia Monohon for the advance preparations, making all the on-site arrangements at UBC, and for everything else that came with the conference package.

To Don Deland (Treasurer), our thanks for getting all those registrations processed, organizing the post-conference course and the vendors' participation, and for arranging for TUG to get its own good projector at last!

Our appreciation and thanks go to the Proceedings Committee Christina Thiele (Editor) and Anita Hoover (Technical) for their tireless effort in editing and preparing the preprint files for production; to their team of reviewers for their time and contribution; and to Patricia Monohon for producing the TUG'99 Preprints with the program for the meeting. And while we're at it, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank the entire TUGboat production team: Barbara Beeton, Mimi Burbank, Robin Fairbairns, Sebastian Rahtz, and Christina Thiele. This group of very dedicated people toil year round on the manuscripts for our TUGboat publications in their spare time, making sure that the typsetting and the articles are of the highest quality possible. We can never really thank them enough. for all the work they do to keep the TUGboats afloat!

One to whom we owe much gratitude is our ``invisible'' webmaster, Karl Berry, who quietly manages the tug.org website and keeps it running smoothly and efficiently with the software updated! Something we shouldn't take for granted.

And finally, to the many, not individually mentioned, who have helped behind and in front the scenes, especially all the speakers, panelists, and the vendors, a great big ``thank you'' for your assistance, sharing your work, and taking the time to come to TUG'99.

*Ex animo*
