Some remarks: \tmove{...} is a macro for typesetting the actually played moves (text moves) |...| is a macro mainly changing to figurine notation \ml{...} is a macro for main variation (main lines) \Diagram(...) is a macro based on automatic output from a chess database (everything between and including parenthesis) \comgametext{white player}{black player}{site/year} is a macro producing cross-references (actually so-called game occurrences) in the form '[76, 231-14(§4), 282(42)]'. The occurrence of the actual page is omitted. The reader is thus able to see instantly all occurrences of the game in the book, e.g. on page 76, in the theoretical section on page 231, note 14 fourth paragraph of table, and finally on page 283 game no. 42 in the games section. ³²°± etc are characters---special chess annotation symbols---output by the database program.
