New system path: C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex\bin\x64\ New user path: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps;C:\Users\dloksnel\AppData\Local\Temp\PlazaCDVW;C:\texlive\2017\bin\win32 finished with path adjustment actions I seem to remember several months ago installing TexStudio, and perhaps that required MikTex 2.9 pre-installation. My main interests are: 1) Solving problems published in the American Mathematical Monthly. 2) Either gregoriotex or gregoriotex.win32, in order to obtain read-only access to the Gregorio database of Gregorian chant scores. My desktop PC is running 64-bit Windows 10. Loading http://ctan.mirrors.hoobly.com/systems/texlive/tlnet/tlpkg/texlive.tlpdb Installing TeX Live 2017 from: http://ctan.mirrors.hoobly.com/systems/texlive/tlnet (not verified) Platform: win32 => 'Windows' Distribution: net (downloading) Using URL: http://ctan.mirrors.hoobly.com/systems/texlive/tlnet Directory for temporary files: C:\Users\dloksnel\AppData\Local\Temp\LIDZLdPuEr Installer revision: 44918 Database revision: 45907 Settings: TEXDIR: "C:/texlive/2017" I don't know what to do about the warning message. Please help. A couple of solutions: - TeX Live creates a menu item consisting of a command prompt where TeX Live comes first. So you can still run pdflatex etc. from this command-line. - TeXstudio does NOT require MiKTeX. So you can simply uninstall MiKTeX. In TeXstudio, you may have to run Options / Restore default settings. -- Siep Kroonenberg
