As I have already explained, Norbert, the thread was /started/ on the 
TeX Live list, and it therefore seemed both courteous (to the original 
poster) and correct to ensure that the TeX Live list was cc'd when 
replying, even if the message to which I was replying had been 
distributed via a different list.
