Choice of processor

According to Microtype latest manual, LuaTeX for PDF production lacks:

     Kerning
     Spacing

On "Manual expansion" I am not sure how to read the manual table (on page
6).
It says it is available bu not enabled on LuaTeX versions 0.30 and higher
and it
also says it is not available on 0.62 and higher.
