* if you use options like [xetex] for some packages you should
remove these options so that luatex gets not confused

* if you use low-level \special commands or xetex specific commands
you need to replace them (if you are using LaTeX interfaces that is
normally not a problem as all commands have abstracted away from the
engines.)

* A number of packages are xetex only (e.g. xecjk or mathspec) so
you need to find alternatives.

* The Mapping font feature in fontspec is xetex only, and if you use
it you need to find an alternative (e.g. transliteration in babel). 

* Handling of pstricks is different, so you need to check if
everything still works.
