Installation fail

I have been using the 2020 version until I got a paper to work on that requires a later version.  I went to TUG and downloaded and ran install-tl-windows.exe.  At the end I got an error message that said more details available by running install-tl-windows.bat in some incomprehensibly deep directory.  So I used win explorer to look for that directory and it found only the one inside the 2020 subdirectory.

What am I supposed to do now?
