well yes you will if you specify LGR encoding, also if you only have
that you'll be typesetting with English hyphenation patterns.


The argument seems to be circular, what is the actual requirement, the
following sets the Greek text in Fira Sans with xelatex

\documentclass{article}

\usepackage{fontspec}
\setmainfont{Fira Sans}
\begin{document}

Γειά σου Κόσμε

\end{document}


why do you need an LGR encoded version for xelatex (which can not have
as many available characters and can not be correctly hyphenated using
the default format)?
