[texhax] tex on vista

I have used Tex for many years and hope to continue doing so.
My new computer has the Vista operating system. My old has XP.
Installed my PCTEX on Vista but it does not work. Is there a new version of Tex that runs on Vista or is there something that can be done to make my Visual Tex,Version 8.5 work on Vista.
