[texhax] algorithm2e - width

I'd like to limit the "width" of an algorithm (with a framed box) using
the algorithm2e package. I currently do this by placing a parbox around
the environment and restricting the width manually. However, to do this
around a floating body is not possible, apparently. So I have to use the
[H] placement option which makes it not a floating body.

Is there a way to restrict the width (say .75\textwidth) to an
algorithm(2e) environment but retain the behavior of a floating object?
