In

http://ii2.sourceforge.net/tex-index.html

go to the section Where do I add extra files?

If you install in /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local, remember to run

sudo texhash

(texhash is really a symbolic link to mktexlsr, but I think is easier to
remember texhash than mktexlsr); if you install in $HOME/Library/texmf,
texhash is not necessary.

If your install fonts (no matter where), remember to run

sudo updmap-sys --enable Map=<your_font_map_file>

Best regards,

Axel
