[texhax] Calligraphic font in equation environment

Hi,
 	Is the calligraphic style to be used in some special way in the 
equation environment? The following does not work, the stuff after the 
\cal{F} doesn't show up properly.

\begin{equation}
F(u) = |F(u)| \exp [i \psi (u)] = \cal{F} [f(x)]
\end{equation}
