[texhax] Verbatim environment in LaTeX

I made an improvement to the code.sty package once with which you can
arrange for the verbatim material to be of a different size, and to be
indented different amounts. All the verbatim text is stuck into a
box, so it's only appropriate for shorter amounts, essentially what
will fit on a page, and results are best when it's less. Anyone is
welcome to it. It's called vcode.sty, and the dtx and ins files are
available at dodsdev.gso.uri.edu/DODS-doc/latex.

Even if it doesn't do what you want, you can use it as a model of how
to hack with verbatim, which is a hairy and abnormal business.
