[tex4ht] is it possible to use KaTex with tex4ht?

I was looking at

https://katex.org/

"Simple API, no dependencies – yet super-fast on all major browsers."

And it shows that Katex is much faster in rendering math on
web pages than mathjax.

Since tex4ht now supports mathjax mode, I was just wondering,
if it is even possible to make tex4ht also support katex mode
as well? i.e. compile the latex file so that the HTML
generated uses Katex for math rendering instead of mathjax.

I am asking without knowing the details that would
be involved in doing this.

One of the main issues with mathjax is its slow to
render pages with lots of math. That is why I am asking.

Thanks
