I'm sorry, I respectfully disagree Zdeněk — I believe that /anyone/ 
seeking help with TeX Live is perfectly entitled to ask for help in his 
or her own native language.  Of course, if no subscriber to the TeX Live 
list /understands/ that language, then the original poster is unlikely 
to receive the help that he or she seeks, but when a question is posed 
in a mainstream language such as French, then the likelihood that the 
questioner will receive help must surely be very high.  Norbert states 
that "this is an international mailing list", yet goes on to say "so 
please write in English" — I can see no logical connection whatsoever 
between the two halves of Norbert's sentence.
