I do find it a bit surprising that you complain that a testsuite
found an unexpected change--I would quite be worried if that this
didn't happen once in a while as it would mean that the testsuite is
bad.

It is also quite surprising that you only think about the box
output. As you are doing so much about accessibility you should know
that various things like structure objects or xmp-metadata streams
do not show up there---one of the reasons why our testsuites contain
not only box tests, but also tests that check the pdf, traces
commands or log variables.
