How to adjust the $TEXMFCNF variable not to interfere with ConText?

I've tried it, but, for some reason it doesn't work, I assume that's why they
used the 'texmf.cnf' file to configure TEXMFAUXTREES. I prefer to use
environment variables and not touch any `.cnf` file (that's only for advanced
users).

This leaves me a little sad, if you don't know what's going on it means that it
can't be solved :(
