yes or at least grffile isn't needed for multiple dots (or spaces or
non-ascii characters) in filenames
so you can simply remove it but sometime today I'll put out a version
that does nothing by default, but has a rollback option to use the
current version if you need it.

I held that back for a day to make it more likely that PL2  got to users first
