[tex-live] Installation error: untar failed

Hi everybody,

 

I am trying to install a TeX Live distribution on my Windows 10 system in
order to use it with TexMaker to work on documents for university. However,
I find myself unable to get the installation done.
After downloading the install-tl.zip file, extracting it, starting the
install-tl-windows file and clicking myself through the wizard, the
installation window will then always close itself after a couple of seconds,
not having installed a single package (it is always saying 0001/some number
and 12many.

Installation failed.

Rerunning the installer will try to restart the installation.

Or you can restart by running the installer with:

  install-tl-windows.bat --profile installation.profile [EXTRA-ARGS]

or

  install-tl-advanced.bat --profile installation.profile [EXTRA-ARGS]

 

I tried downloading install-tl.zip from another mirror, I started the
installation as admin as well as not, I installed the perl etc. packages via
Cygwin and turned the anti-virus-software off but I could not find a
solution. It will always say something about "corrupt data" and "untar
failed".

If anyone has a hint for me, I would be very glad to hear from you. And I
hope this question is not asked too often. If so, I would really leike to
know, where I can get further information.
