According to Wikipedia

the words "Zugriffsverletzung" and "Schutzverletzung" denote
segmentation faults, hence no good news at all.  But this obviously
means that file permissions are not the major problem.

Maybe Tk has problems on certain platforms but I fear that the only
way to find out _where_ it crashes is to run the program within a
debugger.  At least if it's not a Heisenbug.
