[tex-live] install amsmath on Linux Mint 17.1

command <tlmgr init -usertree> gives:

/usr/bin/tlmgr: initialization failed (in setup_unix one)

/usr/bin/tlmgr:could not find usable xzdec

/usr/bin/tlmgr: please install xzdec and try again.

Could not set up the necessary programs.

Installation of packages is not supported.
