Hi,

The e-french package, here on CTAN :
https://www.ctan.org/pkg/e-french

and there for a short introduction :
http://mirror.ibcp.fr/pub/CTAN/language/french/e-french/README

is a free, LPPL-compliant package dedicated to French typographic
rules for LaTeX users. It is the follower of Bernard Gaulle's FrenchPro,
which wasn't LPPL-compliant. After Bernard's death his wife Catherine
accepted that the package followed the terms of LPPL license.

This package is different from the french option for babel. Both
packages have pros and cons: babel is more oriented towards
multilingual texts, e-french has more details of French typography,
like intricate « guillemets » rules and a sophisticated letter class.

Could you please include this package, complete and consistent on
CTAN, in the TeX Live distribution? So it could live and be useful to
French-writing LaTeX users. Thanks in advance.

Cheers.
