Dear friends,
I'm pretty sure I've seen some discussion towards this subject, but
sadly I failed to locate it. I did a clean install of TL2014 in my
notebook and, just for fun, decided to go with -gui:
---------------------------------
paulo at satyagraha install-tl-20140923$ sudo ./install-tl -gui
[sudo] password for paulo:
Loading http://linorg.usp.br/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet/tlpkg/texlive.tlpdb
Installing TeX Live 2014 from:
http://linorg.usp.br/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet
Platform: i386-linux => 'Intel x86 with GNU/Linux'
Distribution: net (downloading)
Using URL: http://linorg.usp.br/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet
Directory for temporary files: /tmp
invalid after png_start_read_image or png_read_update_info at
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/Tk/Image.pm line 21.
---------------------------------
Sadly, the install aborted. Then I moved to a command line install
(hooray!). Personally, I'm pro CLI stuff, but I was wondering why
install-tl failed with, apparently, the Tk module. This is what yum
tells me about the Tk module for Perl:
---------------------------------
paulo at satyagraha install-tl-20140923$ LANG=C yum info perl-Tk

Sorry for a possible double post, but I was quite curious. :)
Any hints on what's going on here?
All the best,
