Both are possible ;-) Could easily be checked, but I am too lazy to
do it. If you want, just grab the updmap.pl from the iso image!

But you should only have to do this once in texmf-local which is the
same for all installations, at least from 2012 on no extra changes
would be necessary if you would write it by hand into TEXMFLOCAL's
updmap.cfg ;-) Just a hint.
