I am using linux centos 5 with non root user and following procedures  from url
http://www.tug.org/texlive/quickinstall.html downloaded and unzip, and
inside directory install-tl-20120929,
i run ./install-tl -gui text

using option (D) directories and option 1 i choose install in my
$home/local directory
and i have this config.

Directories setup:

 <1> TEXDIR:       /home/meusr/local/
     support tree: /home/meusr/local/texmf
 <2> TEXMFLOCAL:     /home/meusr/local/texmf-local
 <3> TEXMFSYSVAR:    /home/meusr/local/texmf-var
 <4> TEXMFSYSCONFIG: /home/meusr/local/texmf-config
 <5> TEXMFVAR:       ~/.texlive2012/texmf-var
 <6> TEXMFCONFIG:    ~/.texlive2012/texmf-config
 <7> TEXMFHOME:      ~/texmf

 Note: ~ will expand to $HOME (or to %USERPROFILE% on Windows)
Actions:
 <R> return to main menu
 <Q> quit

after r  i choose option i (for install) and run in this error:
...

Permission denied

(in /home/meusr/local)
untarring /home/meusr/local/temp/amstex.x86_64-linux.tar failed,
stopping install.

Please what i am missing here? my user is non root and i have all
privileges on my /home/meusr
i use share plan of hostgator.com.br
