The point is that we (Debian hat on) have a serious, that means
release critical bug, because the "sources" of the unicode package,
the preferred form of changes, in this case the .dtx source file,
was *never* present in TeX Live, thus not in Debian. 

Now that we have TL2012 ante portas and already halfway in Debian, I am
caring abit for these thigns, so it was me (with Debian hat on) who
contacted Wolfgang in this matter. Hope that is clear now.
