[tex-live] Fontconfig for XeTeX versus regular fontconfig

Hi,

Using the texlive 2010 package by Dr. Werner Fink, I have the following 
problem: if both lines concerning opentype and truetype fonts are included 
in /etc/fonts/conf.d09-texlive.conf, then a PDF file that uses freefont has 
corrupted glyphs in some cases. One way to fix this is removing either line; 
this has the obvious drawback that some fonts shipped with texlive become 
unavailable. Since xetex becomes confused if multiple copies of the same 
font are available, why are both opentype and truetype copies of gnu-
freefont shipped with texlive?
