I do not use Windows myself but when recommending pdftotext to my
friends a few years ago I tried it in very old Intel Pentium II 200
MHz with 128 MB RAM running Windows 2000 and it was quite fast. I used
it regularly on Celeron 333 MHz under OS/2 Warp 4.0.
