i do two extra mirror runs, against exactly this possibility (i saw the
deletions happening in my first mirror, now you mention it, but since
the files were all still there when i got to look, i guessed it must
have been a transient).

my jobs run at 0100 (part of main mirror run, typically doesn't pick
much up) and 0310 and 0710 (remirroring tl only).  all times local.
