Ok, the usual mirror problem, please see the other thread on the list 
very recently.

Ouch ... that is a *real* problem. I tells me that either
md5sum or xzdec or tar broke.

First I would suggest one of the methods suggested in the other thread
on failed installation to get a better mirror or make a sync.
