I'm so sorry, I realized I didn't send the message to the mailing list, so

Hello, Norbert.

When installing, I got these messages:

"C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\install-tl\install-tl>install-tl
Path: C:\Documents and
mon Files\Adobe\AGL;C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\
Installing from: http://neacm.fe.up.pt/pub/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet/2008
Platform: win32 => 'Windows'
Distribution: net (downloading)
Using URL: http://neacm.fe.up.pt/pub/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet/2008
Directory for temporary files: C:/DOCUME~1/Admin/LOCALS~1/Temp
Sorry, no translations available for pt; falling back to English.
(If you'd like to help translate the installer's messages, please see
  http://tug.org/texlive/doc.html#install-tl-xlate for information.)
Can't call method "insert" on an undefined value at C:/Documents and
line 12
Compilation failed in require at C:\Documents and
-tl\install-tl\install-tl line 414.
Press any key to continue . . .
C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\install-tl\install-tl>"

Maybe that method "insert" is the one causing these problems. After having
this message, I used the already mentioned option -lan en, that got the
complete installation.

I understand that mirror selection is independent from language, but
actually it did install from the same mirror where it's said there's no
translation to pt. So maybe in portuguese mirrors the installers don't have
that translation functioning properly, because they did install the english
version. But again, I have no knowledge in these issues, so I'm just

Thank you for your time. Hope this information can be of help.
