You definitely should do that.

Before today I thought that revtex 4.1 is just one step forward version
(I didn't really read news, sorry, my fault) and it has backward
compatibility with revtex4 (either in form that I would use revtex4
class option or have revtex4 wrapper as with documentstyle command).

Today my colleague notice me that revtex 4.1 has different class name
than revtex4. This breaks completely all my (old) revtex4 documents.

I think it is a matter of time when somebody as for revtex4 class option
wrapper in order to use documents written using revtex4 package.
