[tex-live] Is tlmgr 2008 now completely unusable?

And, in addituion, we don't have N years of experience with it. Please
do not forget that online updates were added *last* year?

I have never used miktex, but I am sure that in the first years not
everything went as smooth as it is now?!

Yes, but you never know.

And the, everyone is invited to contribute, all the scripts are written
in Perl, which many people speak, fully documented (at least the modules),
and in public repositories, so please, go forth and create better tlmgr!
