    Peter Breitenlohner wanted to port ttf2pk/ttf2tfm to
    FreeType 2 -- those are the last applications (of some importance)
    which use FreeType 1.

Really.  So if we fixed ttf2*, we could delete freetype[1] from TL?  That
would be most excellent.

Peter, can you swing back into action one of these days?
