[tex-live] checks for right file types

No, wrong. VTeX documentation says:
| 2.3.2 The "aliasing" files

| These files establish the relation between the font names used by TeX
| (i.e., the TFM's) and the physical font files (Type 1, TrueType or
| OpenType). On other TEX systems they would be called "font map files". The
| files are ASCII and can be manually edited if needed. VTEX will search for
| these file along the TEX include path.
The .ali files are font map files, (TDS:fonts/map)
but they are searched along the TeX include path (TDS:tex/vtex).
Also I have found them in TDS:vtex/config,
TDS:source/latex/augie/vtex,
and TDS:doc/latex/marvosym/vtex
This are five different locations!
Walter as VTeX expert, please clarify.
