[tex-live] TeX Live and ConTeXt installation

Hi Taco, hi all,
I have activated post install actions for bin-context doing the
following:
- if DEST/texmf/web2c/texmfcnf.lua does not exist, create it with
local conf = {}
conf.TEXMFCACHE = "...the path to TEXMFSYSVAR..."
return conf
the TEXMFCACHE will then actually be TEXMFSYSVAR/luatex-cache/context
(the later two dirs are added by luatools)
- then run the following commands:
luatools --generate
context --make --compile cont-en
mtxrun --script fonts --reload
(last one according to Mojca)
All this is done if and *only* if:
- bin-context is installed/updated
- luatex is installed/updated (!)
THe cache is NOT updated when any other package (fonts etc) are updated.
I cannot reasonably implement that by now.
Open questions, and I would like to hear Karl's and Taco's opinion on
that:
- do we have a security problem with this? Taco you mentioned something?
- do we expect problems with putting the cache into TEXMFSYSVAR?
- do we agree on making it this way for now?
Anyway, all this is by now submitted with rev. 9402.
Please give it a test run.
Best wishes
Norbert
