I only know that these patterns have changed on CTAN recently (and the
new version would definitely not work with the old xu-pyhyph). So
maybe the SuSE guys were brave and updated patterns from CTAN :) I
remember them shipping an ultra new version of ConTeXt when I last
tried some version ages ago.
