but there is only a file arabicore.sty (a <-> A)
I made the minimal change (appended) to
texmf-dist/tex/latex/arabi/arabic.ldf in TeX Live.
CTAN, will you consider updating
language/arabic/arabi/arabi/texmf/latex/arabi/arabic.ldf please?
Youssef, is there any hope of an arabi update in the near future? In
any case, you may want to take a look at the Debian patch, which also
updates the messages and comments:
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/debian-tex/texlive-new/trunk/texlive-lang/debian/patches/20_lowercase_Arabicore?op=file&rev=0&sc=0
Here was my change, ignoring everything but the actual code:
--- arabic.ldf (revision 9284)
+++ arabic.ldf (working copy)
