[tex-live] revisions going backwards?

Hi,

more testing, I just ran

tlmgr update --list

and got this line:

bin-tlperl.win32: local revision (11607) is newer than revision in 
http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/tlnet/2008 (10656), not updating.

I've only touched the installation with tlmgr. So the question is 'why 
is the revision running backwards?', and how do I synchronize it again?
