[tex-live] x64 libXau

I was just testing on x64 (RedHat AS 4)

starting xdvi gives me an

~> xdvi file.dvi
xdvi-xaw: error while loading shared libraries: libXau.so.6: cannot open 
shared object file: No such file or directory

funny enough it works fine on a 32 bit RedHat AS 4, and running the 
i386-linux binaries on the 64 bit server works fine with xdvi. but not 
the native x64 binaries.

any ideas why the x64 version requires libXau while the i386 does not?
