[tex-live] "\" not treated as "/" in Install-TL GUI

Just updated my mirror from Cambridge, and I
find that when pasting

	D:\TeX\Live\2008

into TEXDIR in the Install-TL GUI, TEXMFLOCAL
gets set to D:\TeX\Live\2008/texmf-local,
whereas if I set TEXDIR to

	D:/TeX/Live/2008

TEXMFLOCAL gets set to D:/TeX/Live/texmf-local,
as reported last week.  I understood that this
one was scheduled for attention : is there any
progress, does anyone know ?
