[tex-live] Which release ?

A postscript to my previous answer : if

	Start->Programs->TeX Live 2008

launches /something/ (a program, a file,
<whatever>, then is it possible for

	Start->Programs->TeX Live 2008->TeX Live Package Manager

(for example) to work ?  My understanding was
that one could not both launch a program/file/w-h-y
from a shorter version of a Start sequence and
still be able to launch a program/file/w-h-y from
a longer version of the same sequence.
