Ok, I got this info on the Lua list:

Given the other array sizes of TeX, bumping this to the maximum of
2048 seems like a no-brainer. Unfortunately, I don't have a
compilation/crosscompilation environment available here. What is the
fastest way to get a working binary? Is there a reasonably easy to
set up compilation or crosscompilation environment?
