Transcript written on tl2007-mexp.log.

I installed TeXLive using the command line script on Ubuntu Edgy and
used "C" and "L" to deselect some packages and languages. I'm quite sure
that I didn't deselect packages related to the german language.
language.dat contains lines for german and ngerman

$ grep german `kpsewhich language.dat`
german          xu-dehypht.tex
ngerman         xu-dehyphn.tex

and both files exist (slocate database updated recently):

$ locate xu-dehyph{n,t}.tex

I also recreated the format files with

# fmtutil-sys --all 2>&1 > fmtutil-sys.log

but nothing changed. You can view the output here:

Furthermore I added dehypht.tex and dehyphn.tex to language.dat but it
did not help either. Again, both files exist:

$ locate /dehyph{n,t}.tex

Did I overlook something? Any ideas what's going wrong here?

Best wishes

PS: Maybe you wonder why I didn't just try to reinstall without
deselecting packages. There's not much space left on my office PC and
TL2007 installation took more than 2 hours on this machine ...
